Is it okay for a guy to go running at Aspire zone at night (after midnight)? I sometimes stay up late and fancy going for a run, but I don't want to picked up by the police or something.
@Mufti saheb, when I make the intention to run, I actually go out to run and not to converse with random strangers - in English/Arabic/Hindi/whatever! And I'm pretty sure breathing the fumes in the Industrial Area will defeat the purpose of going on a run.. I hope your fatwa skills are better than this kind of advice. (Just kidding, man - no offense meant :P )
How about having a jog in Industrial Area. No Police, no threat and the best thing is that almost everyone speaks Hindi there. No need to show Arabic skills!
Problem is, I'm on a visit visa here. I suppose I could show them my temporary Qatari license.
And generally they tend to be impressed upon meeting an obviously Indian-looking guy who speaks Arabic like a native (Arabic) speaker. (Although in this kind of a situation, this ability might end up being held against me!)
I do normally run dressed in the appropriate kind of attire. I guess it should be okay.
