Khan: Yes sorry I realized it after I had already posted...but you get my point I think which is why you only corrected that one mistake...thanks for that correction btw...i do love music but I wont say its right and I do it fully recognizing that I am sinning in Islam and pray that god makes me strong enough to one day quit it and also forgives me...anyways...lets not hijack the topic...its for a wide range of people and they wont appreciate a religious debate here...take care..
@KadijaLatibu encourages Music and @mohdata endorses Music.
Both are encouraging for committing Sin and will be a partner in Sin that the millions visiting this website will commit.
I love you both..but I need to protect you and correct your mistake.
As you know you are responsible for your action and I am responsible for Mine.

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari ta’leeqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsool by al-Tabaraani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 91).
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: This is a saheeh hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh, where he quoted it as evidence and stated that it is mu’allaq and majzoom. He said: Chapter on what was narrated concerning those who permit alcohol and call it by another name.
This hadeeth indicates in two ways that musical instruments and enjoyment of listening to music are haraam. The first is the fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “[they] permit” which clearly indicates that the things mentioned, including musical instruments, are haraam according to sharee’ah, but those people will permit them. The second is the fact that musical instruments are mentioned alongside things which are definitely known to be haraam, i.e., zinaa and alcohol: if they (musical instruments) were not haraam, why would they be mentioned alongside these things? (adapted from al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 1/140-141)
@mohdata: Objection your honour
Need to take out 5 (Music) & 9 (Play) from Khadija's List.
Yes we need to have a balance ............. enjoy good things too ............ when we get chance ....
The OP's suggestions and those of Khan don't have to be mutually exclusive. Allah has not forbidden us from enjoying the good things of this world...a good Muslim or any human being can and should do all the things in Khadija's list as well as those in Khan's...Allah has made your religion most easy so no need to make it tough...as for me, I will sleeeeeeep...like there's no tomorrow and like no one has slept before haha...happy holidays everyone and do not litter the whole country with your festive celebrations and dinners...use those bins they're free for all...
Thanks Kadija & Khan . ..............................
2. Forgive Others and clean your Heart. ............ This needs to be practiced daily ..................
Ten things to do in Qatar this Eid holiday
1. Feed a poor person daily . Think about the Poor and the Hungry and what you can do to make better their situation.
2. Forgive Others and clean your Heart. Be good to your neighbor and Visit the sick. Memorize the 99 names of Allah. Analyse your behaviour with others and how youcan improve yourself.
3. Call your relatives especially those you have not spoken to in a while. Control your tongue. Make an extra effort to avoid gossiping and hurting the feelings of others. Love others for Allah’s sake.
4. Set up a financial plan to avoid Riba or get out of Riba (Interest). Make dua to Allah SubhannAllah wa TaAllah to help you with it. Riba is one of the major sins and its punishment starts in the grave.
5. Thank Allah . He gave you free, the air you breathe, the water you drink, fruits and vegetables, most importantly your Life for free. Our life is a continuous exam until we meet God and it is when he will question you for your time, youth , money , actions etc . People reject God but can they escape Death? . Don’t forget you are nearing your death every second.
6. Think about Death. Take time to Think that you will die one day and what Preparations you have made for this day. We never existed before 100 years nor will exist after 100 years. If you consider that you sleep 8 hours a day, it is one third of the day and calculation for the whole life it will be one third of a person’s age. Hence there is no time to waste time in vain talks and disputes. Help the poor and do good to your parents and be thankful to God,
7. Also we need to stop the War and the Fight among Muslims. We need to remind one another that All are Brothers ...whether Shia , Sunni, Yemeni, Saudi, Qatari, Bahraini...Also we need to do something to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque - the third holiest Mosque in Islam . Prophet has forbidden a war between Muslims. Muslims-who-fight-each-other-will-both-be-in-hell. Even carrying a weapon against another Muslim is Forbidden in Islam. Fighting between Muslims is not Jihad. It is cowardice and an act due to Ignorance.I remind all of you to a saying of our Prophet with warning that both the Killer Muslim and Killed Muslim will both be in hell for fighting each other with weapons.(Ref: Bukhari - Volume 9, Book 88, Number 204)
Abu Bakra Narrates: I heard Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) saying, "If two Muslims meet each other with their weapons then the killer and the killed are are both bound for the (Hell) Fire." I said, "O Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) It is alright for the killer, but what about the killed one?" Prophet said, “Because the killed one intended to kill just as much as the killer."” [Bukhari & Muslim]
8. Take the time to ponder over the game behind all that is taking place. The war between Muslims results in the killing of each other, reduction in their population, destruction of their infrastructure, a push-back on their economy, a drain on their reserves let alone the breading of hatred. Who gains from this? It is the powers who want to sell their guns and grenades, bombs and bullets, mortars and missiles. The income from such sales oils the war machinery of these super powers and strengthens their economy. Just take the Iraq-Iran war for example. The world powers sold billions of dollars worth of weapons to both countries. There was an estimated loss of 200,000 lives on both side – all Muslims. Had this money been used for constructive purposes, it would have changed the destiny of poor Muslim countries. Then when a war comes to an end, it is these very same world powers and developed nations who take over the role of reconstruction and churn out money from big projects bringing in their manpower and material. They earn both ways. The need of the hour is peace, which hardly anybody talks of. No concerted effort has been made in this direction even by the United Nations to bring the Houthis and Gulf nations to the table for talks. It is now for both sides to look into ways of finding a solution to this burning issue of how to stop this war and think on lines of peace. Countries such as Pakistan which has good relations with both Iran and the Gulf countries should play a prominent role in bringing both sides to the peace table. Otherwise, the internal divisions among Muslims would just allow non-state actors the opportunity to carry out with the dirty agenda, and that is clearly visible.
9. Visit Mosque For Knowledge. Read at least one Surah (chapter) or more of the Qur’an a day. Read it in Arabic then read the translation and the tafseer. Start right now so that you get into the habit. The objective is to better understand what our creator wants from us. Qur’an is from Allah not written by Muhammed (PBUH). Memorize the Qur’an. Make Da’wah by sharing what you know of Islam with your entourage, even if it’s just one thing. As per suratul Asr, we are obligated to enjoin the truth to others, we can not remain silent.
10. Make Dua for the Muslims and for all people so that maximum go to Heaven. All around the world the Muslims are in a very bad situation. We need to inform the Non Muslims that we all are children of the same father and Mother. The same person and his wife is mentioned in Holy books of Hindus, Muslims, Jews and Christians. Here its is …He is called Brahma by Hindus, Muslims call him iBrahim, Jews and Christians call him aBraham . His wife is called SARA by Muslims, Christians and Jews and interestingly SARAswati by Hindus . You can see these two words Brahm & SARA repeating in all of them. All Mankind have a common origin..a same father and same mother. If people realize this people will love each other never fight each other.Allah is not the God of Muslims only but Allah is the God of all people whether they are Hindus, Muslims, Jews and Christians. Monotheism is present in all their Holy scriptures.
one thing, stay in masjid for the sake of Allah, we all gonna have more free time. spend it for the sake for the Allah. Lord of the worlds.
