What was the best thing that ever happen to you through Qatarliving?

I made very good friends through QL. Used to be fun visiting QL every hour of the day I spent at work.

It has lost its charm though,wonder why.

2- What is the best section in Qatarliving?

I would say the forums, QL Lounge.

3- If you were an admin, what would you change in Qatarliving.com?

I would change repeated Q's about same topics, like diverting users with set questions before them posting it on main page.

4- As far as you can rememeber, what was the thread that you can't forget in Qatarliving's Forums?

There were many, some serious but I did enjoy silly threads with other regulars :)

@afrinnabees, i agree with you. the OLD QL was more simple and lively... there were many fun posts to view daily. Now it seems all about politics and as brit mentioned, repetitions and petty issues.

But I really hope that tonight at the QL 10th Anniversary celebrations I can talk to someone and influence them to at least do a little to return to how things were. Even just a tiny bit. I would love to become more active on QL again, and I applaud those who have hung in there all this time when I took the easy option and walked away. Obviously there is no way in the world things can go back to how they were, but if enough of us start posting again perhaps we can breath some life back into the forums once more.

In fact simply inviting QL users to tonight's celebrations is a fabulous first step, and may be the spark that could ignite the QL fire once more. I really hope so :)

I loved using the power of my pen to clear and clarify many misconceptions that live in the minds of some people especially those who come from western countries and firmly carry the belief they are a superior lot. In my pursuit, I came across a lovely person Britexpat who though I have never met, found him to be totally different from many others. His posts speak volumes about his nature, broad thinking and outlook of the world. That is just the way how I look at everything around me. Then, on the other side, there is Molten Metal who is ever-so-ready to post something from his philosophical thinking, trying to say something even if they have little or no meaning. Overall, it has been a very good experience.

Its been a great journey..I must admit that for me QL has now lost its soul.. No real discussions.. just questions about Visas and NOCs and Mother-in-Laws overstaying..

Is it the people or the Site ? I don't know..

I made some great friends - both virtual and physical. Had some great discussions - sometimes very serious, othertimes not so. I discovered that we are all different, yet can come together on QL.

The best sections were Qatar Living lounge and Funnies

If i were Admin, then i would focus on spam and getting rid of duplicate / similar posts.
