Secondment Of the Service
By passion0893 •
I haven't completed 1 year, its 11 months being in Qatar. Now i have an offer from y company. Is it possible to take the secondment service transfer to new company before one year. Please let me know. It's Very Urgent.Thank you
Why don't you do some research online:
An Expatriate may only be employed by his or her Sponsor of Residence unless the Labour Department approves a six month secondment. Such secondments will normally only be approved where the subject matter of the work to be undertaken is, or both entities have a shareholder in, common, eg. a lawyer being seconded to a client to undertake legal work or an employee being reassigned to a sister company. In some cases the Labour Department will approve an Expatriate working for an individual or entity other than his or her Sponsor of Residence if such work is undertaken outside normal work hours.
Secondment still falls under the category for NOC requirement! If you are still puzzled, check with immigration at Gharaffa - There is your valuable advice!

I am going to transfer the visa i just want o do the secondment i.e service transfer. Not sponsorship.
Please give the reply on this issue.
Get NOC from your current employer and then anything is possible. But I would not recommend moving right now. As you can read from previous posts in QL, Ministry of Labour stopped issuing new Visas. There might be a high chance even if you have NOC and all other documents, you may not get the approval from Ministry of Labour. Then you are screwed! Just stay where you are, if you want job security.
