Is it possible to change Passport Number in already issued Visa

My friend passport is near expiry after Visa was issued. So he renewed the passport and he has a new Passport with new Passport Number. Kindly confirm if he can travel to Qatar with the Visa mentioning the Expired passport. Alternatively is it possible to change the passport number in the Visa page ?

Advise your friend to show his old and new passports to Qatar Embassy in his country for stamping prior to his travel and also bring both passports with him.

He should bring both the passports along with him as the visa is still valid. Once he arrives, he can have the visa transferred to the new passport.
