The video of the incident involved a white Mercedes Benz SUV ramming into a parked Rolls Royce and damaging some hotel property before the driver is taken out of the car. The video started going viral on social media Saturday afternoon.
Qatar's cybercrime law stipulates a sentence of not more than three years in prison and a fine of not more than QR100,000, or either of these penalties, shall be imposed on any person who, through an information network or information technology technique, (i) violates social values or principles, (ii) disseminates news, photos or video or audio recordings related to the sanctity of people's private or family life, even if the same is true, or (iii) insults or slanders others.
The video had captured the number plates of both the Mercedes Benz and the damaged Rolls Royce, which is considered a violation.
Thoughts?
Correct Humbles ................
We must remain in our limits.
This doesnot make sense :(
what the heck???!
From the article "The video had captured the number plates of both the Mercedes Benz and the damaged Rolls Royce, which is considered a violation."
britexpat gives people the wrong ideas. I always tell ...Never indulge into the lives of others. You have no authority to share others photos or videos.
@brit, next time you record a video without the number plates and see what happens...
I think the point was that they should not have shown the car number plates
Ha, ha, ha. Ridiculous.
