Notice period - After 5 years work?

My contract mentions only 30 days notice in case of resignation/termination from my work..
One of my colleague told me that as per labour laws, those who have completed 5 years have to serve two month notice by default..
Is it true? THank you for sharing the information.

Your case will be solve according to your employment contract that you singed with the company.
During these two months you may get promotion here itself ...... so there won't be any need to leave us alone ............ think for positive outcome .... ........ just accept the two month condition happily ........

Free, When you want to leave ..... co-operate with your employer & colleagues ............ you will get mroe benefits ......... accept two months .................. what's in staying there for one month extra while you get paid ........... ?
