Hi everybody,

I am a female UK Citizen looking to relocate to Qatar as soon as possible. I have just started applying for jobs but can't help feeling this is going to be really difficult?

Any advise on finding a job here would be really appreciated, I would also love to know if anybody knows any recruits taking on people as I do have a lot to offer in a customer service admin, team leader aspect.

Thank you

M :)

Qatar government now is no more naive, whether you put your nationality as UK or USA or EU if they know that you are from one of the descent Arabic or South Asian countries which they have over quota or they banned then they will disregards your job application / visa application. This is to balance the population of people in Qatar as well as for safety reason, said my colleague in ministry. So showing your "strong countries" nationalities is no more a VIP way to having a jetset life in Qatar. If they really need or like your experience or education backround then they will hire you regardless your nationality..

Agree with Brit, though, My suggestion is to search through recruiters in UK, there are plenty of recruiters looking for people to work overseas, also don't forget LinkedIn that can help you a lot.

There are many aspects. Qatar is looked upon as the land of milk and honey by most expats. So jobs are at a premium and supply outstrips demand.

"I am a female UK Citizen looking to relocate to Qatar as soon as possible" - Question... Why as soon as possible ?

With the price of oil being low, recruitment is at a near standstill as companies rationalise and reduce overheads.

My advice is to keep searching the online jobsites and also the websites of companies like Qatar petroleum, Qatar foundation etc
