I live in front of a construction site

Hello All,

I live in front of Doha Oasis Construction site, the issue is that they are working over night shifts causing huge noise.

How shall I report this, and what is the law of construction over night shifts in a residential area?

Thanks,

Sherif

Ask the landlord to reduce the rent by 50%.

I doubt it would be possible for the night-shift supervisor to bring the noise down, since these constructions are on a tight schedule and needs to be completed early on. Alternately try putting some heavy curtains. I understand what you're going thru, as right now, I am sitting in my office next to a construction site, and taking in all the noise. Search for a noise-cancelling device, like shown in the below website:

I dont think you can stop them. Use some head/earphones with gentle music. Get some soundproofing. etc.

Construction company has to meet the deadlines. Otherwise there are huge penalties on them. Bear with it or change accommodation.

Check with the site supervisor, talk to him in a friendly manner & try to convince him that you need to sleep at nights ................ . ........ I am sure he will listen to you .......................
