Double joy as Qatar Airways wins awards for in-flight services
Qatar Airways was awarded two best-in-class accolades for its premium in-flight services at the TravelPlus awards ceremony held in Hamburg, Germany, recently.
The Doha-based carrier received two TravelPlus Airline Gold Awards ‑ the first for its signature Missoni sleeper suits and the other for its recently launched Hasbro children’s activity pack.
Assessment for the acclaimed industry awards focuses on the wishes and needs of travellers, with selection criteria adhering to trend, pleasure, luxury, usability and style, all from a traveller’s perspective.
The carrier launched its new children’s activity pack on board its worldwide network in January, 2016, in partnership with Hasbro Gaming to provide even more entertainment for its youngest guests.
“The new kits offer more levels of interactivity and playability than ever before, featuring exciting Mr Potato Head plush toys and Hasbro Gaming brand board games, known for their suite of leading family entertainment properties,” the
statement noted.
Featured titles include the world’s favourite family gaming brand, Monopoly, and long-standing classics such as Twister, Guess Who and Connect 4. The activity kits are available on board and have been developed specifically for children from the ages of 0- 2 years and 3-12 years.
A total of four different kits, each featuring a different type of game, are available to families flying to and from Doha on both long-haul and short-haul flights. Young travellers can explore and play with glow-in-the-dark toys and stickers, interactive bags and a gadget stand. Kits for infants include a peek-a-boo Mr Potato Head plush toy and soft books.
In addition, children-friendly meals can be pre-ordered and are served in reusable Monopoly or Mr Potato Head collectable meal boxes, the statement added.
Qatar Airways had won gold at last year’s TravelPlus Awards for its exclusive Italian designer Giorgio Armani Fragrances and Beauty First Class Male amenity kit and the Business Class Middle East amenity kit.
Max, Inter Standards are also based on the research , like tobacco & alcohol are not essential for a human being ......... what else do you need. You should not ask for advice for the things you know ........ milk & veg are best for the modern society ........ no harm if we drink milk & eat veg ..........
MM Please note that Qatar Airways is a INTERNATIONAL Airline so it must have international standards not local!! You need to climb out of your well and look around its not the 10th century anymore!!
If you want to be better don not look at who is good ........ ..........
MM, they have a strategy to run the business and it seems to be working.
I repeat what Brit wrote:''The point is that it is part of the service they offer... Whether I take it or not is my decision.....''
MM: I don't know what you mean. The point is that it is part of the service they offer... Whether I take it or not is my decision.....
This is their way of promoting a superior service and getting customers - and it seems to work ...
Brit, If you refuse { suppose } , would they still try to force feed you ? .......................
Mufti, It's not a justification , you don't need to drink to run somebody else's business .......... If you still won't understand then you will have a challenging life ..... where other professions would too ask to visit / use their services and you part away with your money happily ............
*cant
Khan, they can run business as per your convenience.
It is part and parcel of the super service they offer - especialy the champagne in business and first classes
If they stop distributing alcohol, I will give them another award.
Well done Qatar airways. Suggestion - please change the signature Missoni sleeper suits , the rough cotton caused me to have a rash in places that shouldn't be mentioned :O(
