Must try desserts in Doha!
The dessert scene in Doha is diverse, multicultural, and vast. There is so much to choose from. There are definitely some desserts that are well-known from every corner of Qatar. Here's QL's list, tell us in the comments section which ones should have been included – as we would love to keep adding to our list!
Red Velvet Cupcake at Sugar and Spice. Calling all Red Velvet fans! There are so many fabulous desserts at Sugar and Spice, but their Red Velvet cupcake is likely the best Red Velvet offering in Qatar. Again, fresh, never dry, and the cream on top is light and not too heavy
Honey Cake at Chac'Late in Katara, this dessert has been highly recommended so many times that QL had to go out and try it personally – it was perfect! If you find yourself at Chac’Late try their Honey Cake first = perfection. This dessert is so popular that almost as soon as you say honey cake the other person will refer to Chac’Late.

Banana Pudding at Magnolias is reknown all over the world. A recent trip to Thailand proved this, as there were Germans, Arabs, and Canadians sitting at a table in Phuket talking about… the Banana Pudding at Magnolias! Go try it and see what all of the international buzz is about.

Kanafa at Al Aker Sweets (multiple locations including Souq Wakra, Souq Waqif, Salwa Road, etc) is considered by many to be the best Kanafa in town. Kanafa is a traditional Arabic dessert with gooey cheese, shredded phyllo dough and loads of sweet syrup. Al Aker’s Kunafa is a mix of crunchy, gooey, and sweet in all the right proportions. Smells and tastes like buttery heaven. 15QR will get you a generous plate - enough to share!

Pistachio Macaron at Paul's is an extremely sweet, soft, and rich dessert. It’s a melt-in-your-mouth experience and likely the best Maracrons you’ll find outside of France.
