Odds at getting a good job in Qatar

Hi guys, I'm kind of new here and just wondering what the odds are in getting into a good company. I've tried sending online applications but not getting any luck. I've had a few job offers already but unfortunately, they did not meet my expectations so far :( Thoughts, anyone? By the way, I'm a CPA from PH :) Thanks heaps!

Yeah that's what I was afraid of but I decided to take some risks and prepared myself for the 'not so good' things. And I think if I'll just wait just a little bit more, there must be something good out there :))) Thanks guys for the brutally realistic but sensible encouragements ;)

Yes, the job market in Qatar is not inviting at the moment and the days of lucrative pay packages are distant memories. But a lot of companies are still hiring, so you have to be patient and keep trying. All the very best to you.

Lots of peopel are leaving and you want to come in, if you want to come here, don't expect better, prepare to have things worse than it is. Salaries & benefits are being cut down, rent prices still going up, electricity and water bills have almost doubled even if I am using solar and recycled water for lot of other things. Oil producers did not come to an agreement, so expect more job cuts and things changing here.

People are running after jobs here for months. As britexpat has said, the job market is shrinking and there is still more to come. Don't lose hope though, and keep on trying. Hopefully, something good may turn up.

Hi britexpat, yes exactly what I had in mind. I was just a bit worried since I've been here for about a month now. I was hoping to get into one of the Big 4 firms but we'll see :-) Anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts! Really appreciate it!

Its a question of supply and demand - and a bit of luck.

Companies are cutting back and they know that there are queues of people wanting to come here - so slaries and benefits are shrinking..

Don't give up hope though.. Keep persevering and something will turn up..
