Strong winds are again expected in some places on Wednesday along with poor visibility due to blowing dust, Gulf Times reported the Qatar Met department as saying.

Offshore areas, too, are likely to see strong winds and high seas until Wednesday evening, according to the weather report.

With wind and dust blowing across the country for the past few days, including Tuesday, the Met department reminded people of the safety precautions to follow in such conditions.

The list of dos and don’ts has been prepared in co-ordination with the Ministry of Public Health.

On Wednesday, the wind speed may go up to 25 knots in some inshore areas at times before decreasing by night. In offshore areas, it will reach a high of 25 knots and come down by night.

Visibility, meanwhile, will drop to 3km or less in some places at times.

According to the forecast, inshore areas will be hot during the day, while offshore areas are likely to see slight dust. The sea level is expected to go up to 8ft before dropping by night.

The mercury level reached a high of 41C in the Doha airport, Abu Hamour, Wakrah and Messaied areas on Tuesday, followed by 40C in the Qatar University, Al Khor and Sheehaniya areas, among others.

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature is expected to be 43C in Doha, Mesaieed and Wakrah, and 42C in Al Khor.
