I am working in a Cat B company and I haven’t taken a vacation in a long time. Me and my fiancée is planning to go on a trip to Maldives. The cost of the trip is coming out to be close to Rs 3,00,000. I am thinking of taking a personal loan. Are there any other options available? Please suggest otherwise

Never borrow money to take a vacation. Never borrow money to take a vacation. Never borrow money to take a vacation. Understand..

Maybe he has to offer her a vacation, otherwise she might turn to another man who can afford it.

Mufti is wrong , real estate price has gone down in the last many years , still dropping so not a good idea ........ Only place where you would make money is the Mutual Funds or Stock Market ................

Save the money and then go for a trip. It is not advisable to take a loan for few days of joys.

Rather take a loan for purchasing an asset.

Brit, Men have been targeted for a long long time .......... they are slave of the temptations .......... always dream with open eyes ......... and they get ripped off every three months { 80 - 100 days } by somebody new ................ they pay for seeing what will happen next ..... what will happen next ...... and when nothing happens then they cry in the corners ..........

Brit: I did not make that mistake as I was clever. I took her on a trip "after" we were married and got full returns on my investment!

Ha! Ha! There go the two together. It is now something worth watching which one of the two number of days that have been forecast, works out best!

Good to note a change in MM's "number of days" from 3 days to 21 days! Hope muad-db will soon introduce changes in his system also.

I will go along with th others ... Don't spend what you don't have - especially on a vacation..

If she really loves you, she will understand

In my part of the world the saying goes that one should stretch his legs according to the length of his bed sheet. If you don't have the money, why go for such an expensive vacation? Possibly, you may be wanting to impress your fiancee. Your "vacation" may be some days of joy followed by several months of mental torture for you on how to repay the loan if you do at all manage to get one.

I know you would really like to take a vacation with your fiancee, but honestly a loan for such a thing is bad news. You will really regret doing such a thing really quickly. Instead do something you can afford with her. Book some beach passes and a Friday brunch at somewhere like the Marriott and have a staycation. Surly spending quality time together is the most important thing.

Padam, She is clever, reject the idea at once. Never discuss this tour with her for the next 21 days. You will see she will understand that it was a bad idea. Control your wandering mind by reading daily newspapers, watching national geography & history channels ..... Ask her to watch some Travel & Nature TV channels ............

why not save up first before going on holiday?. It's not worth going on a loan as you will not enjoy it. The thought of paying it back later will ruin the holiday.

Do you even need the holiday?. Work, save and then think about a holiday
