Visa validity meaning

Hello QLs

I have been waiting for my work visa for almost 3 months now,my visa status on moi site shows that it's under process. And the visa validity is 30th of October. What does the visa validity means?should I wait till October to get the visa or at least to give up hope on seeing it rejected ?
