Cost of petrol to increase nominally in August
Continuing with the trend of adjusting fuel prices in Qatar according to variations in the international market, users will have to shell out slightly more for petrol in August.
The Ministry of Energy and Industry announced that the cost of petrol in the country will rise by a nominal five dirhams.
In August, the 91-octane premium petrol will cost QR1.35/liter. It was QR1.30 a liter in July and QR1.20 in June.
Similarly, Super 95-octane gasoline will cost QR1.45 per liter, up from QR1.40 earlier in July and QR1.30 in June.
Meanwhile, the price of diesel will continue to remain the same at QR1.40/liter.
Here increasing fuel price like feeding the poison slow to peoples.But One day will ready to take equal to other countries... Dont be happy !!!!!
Dont worry it will become equal to other countries in the world..

Rolly: I am sure taxi fares will increase moderately .. But overall the increase in fuel is not that great

i also agree with britexpat on petrol being cheap in qatar when compare to the world...but what about House rent and transportation fare???
Dont you think increase in fuel price will automatically increase fuel price and people who depends solely on taxi will tend to spend more?
Petrol here is still cheap compared relatively to most places in the world ..
