Dubai billionaire to recruit 3,000 unemployed workers in Saudi

Following India’s Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj’s appeal to its three million citizens residing in Saudi Arabia to step up and assist unemployed compatriots with food supplies, a Dubai-based billionaire has said his company will recruit 3,000 among them.

“As a mark of our support to the Indian workers who have lost their jobs, RP Group of Companies will recruit 3,000 workers who are skilled in mechanical trade.

"Workers with experience in various aspects of mechanical trade can contact the office of RP Group of Companies at the earliest,” Ravi Pillai, Chairman and Managing Director of RP Group of Companies, told Emirates 24|7.

“We will also continue to explore opportunities to accommodate more of the unemployed workers in our companies,” he added.

VK Singh, India’s Deputy Minister of External Affairs, is slated to visit Saudi Arabia in a bid to resolve the issue.

The group employs 85,000 workers in various projects.

“We are announcing the details of recruitment including the email and phone numbers to contact our offices in Saudi Arabia.

"Since the workers have experience in Saudi Arabian projects, they will be used mainly for continuing our Saudi projects,” said Vinod G, RP Group of Companies, Dubai, UAE.
