Health Travel – the Newest Trend

Travel, tourism, and health! Could it get any better? There is a healthy purpose (pun intended) behind this latest trend that is catching fire all over the world. This mixed bag of nuts has excursion, tourism, fun, variety of activities, all merged together with the wholesome addition of a health and fitness plan. No need to worry about putting on more weight when you travel to exotic lands and eat their cuisines that might be filled with generous amounts of calories.

Next time you plan a vacation trip from Qatar, look up wellness retreat plans online. The hottest destinations around the world for health travel include Thailand, Morocco, Dubai, Oman, Bali, Malaysia, Antigua, Grenada, Jamaica, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Turkey, Maldives, Mauritius, Tanzania, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Mexico, Brazil, Florida, Australia, and New Zealand.

Catering to the needs of fitness-conscious travelers, companies have started offering packages that combine health routines along with the tourism packages. These packages might include yoga holiday, detox holidays, beach spa holidays, and luxury trips that make wellness a priority. The trips are tailor-made for all kinds of people looking for all kinds of fitness programs. They can range from meditation, detox, de-stress, healing, Ayurveda, nutrition-friendly, quit smoking programs.

My friend went on a similar trip in Phuket, Thailand, and loved it so much, she went again after a few months.  She is all praises about the program and made lovely friends on the program. She is now planning her third trip.

Before embarking on this adventure, get clear on what kind of fitness level you are looking for. If you want to shed some weight and relax along with it, yoga packages are good for you. Conversely, if you have a lot of energy to expend, more active deals are your things. Just bear in mind that several programs might be more intense than others and also include a personalized diet regimen. You can avail of a few cheat days to try out the exotic cuisine at the beautiful island you are visiting.

Health travel makes sense to me because I noticed that people start worrying about weight gain while they are vacationing. That zaps out half the fun of the trip. With the fitness program, you have a sense of commitment that you know you are following through, and which certainly reaps results. Now that’s a holiday well spent, when you return with mind and heart broadened by the tourism and a healthy glow because of the health routine! Trust me; you’ll be glowing inside out. And these are the moments to live for. Experiences that change us and help us grow as well-rounded human beings.

South East Asia is still safer than Turkey, Europe & Middle East where Caliph Baghdadhi's men have unleashed terror on tourists and civilians.

It is very unsafe to travel anywhere these days. Tourists have become 'soft' targets everywhere in the world. Stay at home. Flying also causes air pollution at unprecedented levels. Do something for your home, the planet Earth!

Agreed, thank you for your opinion. There is no place like home. And for lots of people who do love to travel and want to combine fitness with it, this option might be useful :)

If you look at the realities on the ground, I could safely guess over 85% of expat workers in the Middle East are from the middle or lower income group who begin the countdown to their next vacation which is usually after a two-year long period from the moment they land here. They count each and every day as it passes and you can see the 'real joy' on their faces during last few days before they proceed on their vacation.

The place they look forward to spend their next vacation is not in France or Turkey or Phuket or Maldives or Bali or Jamaica or other such exotic places across the world. They do not wish to visit vacation spots even within their own country.

It is their home, right within their own family where they really long to be. That is the place from where they drive the most joy and happiness and peace and comfort.
