Two female students drown in Qatar University pool
Tragedy struck Qatar University this week as two female students from the institution drowned in the University accommodation’s swimming pool. The tragedy occurred on Monday evening.
Qatar University officials, who said they were following up with the police department, vowed to get to the bottom of how the tragedy occured.
The University, in a tweet, confirmed the name of the two students as Noor Khalil Ibrahim Al Haidous and Reem Saif Homeid AlKalbani.

According to reports in the local vernacular media, Noor was trying to save her friend while the incident happened.
Many people from Qatar extended their condolences to the bereaved families on twitter and other social media sites.

It is very easy to drown in a pool .. happens all too often.. weak swimmers get into difficulty and panic.. What is most important is why there was not a lifeguard on duty..
It doesn't say how this happened, but people don't normally drown in a swimming pool unless something else happens.
It could be electrical fault causes one person to drown, then someone dives in to save them and they drown too.
So sad to loose to young lives in such a way ....... ...... We must remember to save your self before you try to help your friends ........... ......... May be they were freshers ........... ..........
