How do you keep your social media accounts safe in Qatar?
After a very good friend in Qatar has told me time and time again that she feels her social media account has been compromised, or rather, hacked, I decided I need to search around on the net to find what kind of solutions were available to this nerve wracking problem that can cause mental anguish and anxiety to the person whose social media account has been hacked.
Imagine how you would feel if you felt that someone was constantly looking over your shoulder, invading your privacy and peeping into your personal space without your consent, especially if you could not actually see that person and didn’t know who it was, and yet you could feel the presence?
I found lots of websites and articles that tackle the issue of hacking; I discovered the social media apps have also provided extra layers of security to handle just such an issue and protect the user from this invasion of privacy.
What I also know is that my friend has tried all of them, including reporting to the social media account administration with screen shots and constant messages, mind you, and yet nothing has been done. Yes, they have given her tips and helped her out, but the problem keeps returning again and again.
I don’t know if the social media accounts are not doing enough to stop these hackers or whether hacking has become so easy now that no matter what security measures you take or the social media account administration takes, they can just hack right back into your account.
To be totally honest, during my search on my internet for solutions, I was surprised to see a website that actually showed how to hack into someone’s social media account. I was shocked. I didn’t expect that, but I’m sure this is not the only website to divulge such information.
This made me think that it can happen to anyone of us, and I do know people who have had their e-mail and social media accounts compromised. Sometimes, they don’t even know it themselves. So, what do we do then? Should we all be worried?
Do we really live in such a vulnerable world where there is no privacy? And, is social media really not doing enough to protect its users from potential hackers?
Qatar is one of the safest and most secure countries on the planet, and yet, it can still happen here, too. We are still at risk of getting robbed by social media hackers of our online privacy, of our private information that we may or may not want to share with others and of control over our personal space.
What are your thoughts? What kind of security measures do you take to keep yourself safe on social media?

I trust humans, nothing to fear ......... I give respect to everybody, that's the way ..................
You can't stop hackers.. Just mitigate the risks where possible. Change paswords frequently. Keep passwords "strong" and don't use one password for all your various accounts
We must keep our accounts safe
