Qatar National Day 2016 Celebrations and Events
The festivities have begun. Qatar National Day is just days away and the celebrations have already started. Here’s a list of fabulous events that will lead you up to Qatar National Day on December 18, 2016 and beyond:
Darb Al Saai

Darb Al Saai, which can be translated as the “Route of the Messenger” a distinctive feature of Qatar National Day festivities, Here's a daily visit schedule:
Visitors to the place will enjoy a variety of events and activities that cater to all categories and ages of people including a classic car show organized by Mawater, Qatars official group for car enthusiasts. There will be a corner for traditional tents and a heritage handicraft market.
The Darb Al Saai venue, located opposite Al Sadd Police Station will have a market area that resembles Souq Waqif, where visitors can purchase traditional items, including clothes and artifacts. There will also be several food stalls offering quick bites and desserts as well as traditional Qatari dishes like Harees, Machboos and Thareed.
Visitors can find different areas of interest at Darb Al Saai for music, scenery, arts, modern technology, history, wild life, traditions, heritage and food.

Katara Arabic Language Festival Ḍaad

A number of events will accompany the festival, including:
Puppet Theatre, House of Arabic Heritage Narrator, Comedy in Classical Arabic language, Arabic Electronic Games, Children's theatre, Arabic Poetry, Used Books Gallery, Reading corner, Shadow theatre, Entertaining games for kids and platform.

Come and join the hunt for treasure and also participate in many more fun activities at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA)Park and Al Riwaq Exhibition Centre.
The hunt starts at 12PM.
Fees are QAR. 50 per group.
Tickets are now on sale at the MIA Gift Shop, Qatar Museum Gallery at Katara, Mathaf Gift Shop and in Q at the Gate Mall.

Qatar National Celebration at The St. Regis Doha
Join the St. Regis Doha on the auspicious occasion of Qatar National Day and enjoy Arabic coffee which will be served throughout the day (9:00 am-9:00 pm) at the Sarab Lounge. Come dine at the Vine and enjoy the delicious Qatar National Day Buffet we have set up as part of the festivity (12:30 pm - 4:00 pm) – QR 150 per person.
