Sheikh Joaan re-elected as president of QOC for another four years

HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani was re-elected as President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) for another four-year term, until 2020. Dr Thani Abdulrahman Al Kuwari was re-elected as the QOC Secretary General.

The election took place during the QOC General Assembly, held at the committee’s headquarters yesterday, reported Qatar Tribune.

In addition to the election processes, the QOC discussed about Qatar’s sports calendar for 2017 as well as the formation of new national sports federations.

The QOC also began steps to prepare strong teams for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
