Do we take offence too easily
There was an article in one of the papers today where some people took offence to a sign in a charity shop window.
It reads: “For Sale. Set of Encyclopaedia Britannica.
“No longer needed. Just got married. The wife knows everything.”
So, is the sign sexist and demeaning to women – or is it just a bit of humour ?
Funny advertisement, with a bit of humour and teasing.
As long as wife doesn't object to it, this is OK. I found nothing demeaning in it.
He must me in love with his wife .. we salute him
This is full of love for his wife, he has given too much weight to her, that's very healthy sign from a man to her lady .......... I appreciated from the core of my heart ......... only a few couples have that much deep understanding ............... ...............
everything is offensive here...even people's dressing sense...m guessing its the heat or just sheer frustration of the growing population thats causing them to be so irritative! the sign is not at all offensive...they just dont get humor...hence advertisments are also bland coz lets face it one would not recognize what a land cruiser is if you dont write it on the ad and God forbid you write anything else on it...you might face a road collision due to trying to figure out what that meant!
