I am Filipina married with Indian, we got married in the Philippines.

Both of us now is here in Doha working.

I now found out that he married an Indian lady after 1 year of our marriage.

I want to know now if there is any agency or ministry that can help me in this situation.

I want to file a case with this guy and file a divorse since now my name was changed to his name.

Any good advise will be very appreciated.

Thank you guys in advance.

Hi Molten Metal,

Thank you for your advise.

Do you think the indian embassy will entertain my concern?

I am thinking to get a lawyer and go the the indian embassy with him so we can file a case here.

Ask for compensation , he is a cheater, punish him nicely, visit the Indian Embassy witht he copy of your marriage certificate, once his inlaws know it, they will very happily support you, the girl will also not stay with this cheat, contact his in laws, your best weapon ............ ....... if his 2nd victim knows about it , she will too support you , I am so sure ..............

As I said, i tried to sort out things with him but he refused. I am also planning to go to his office and confront him. But first I want to make sure that I have a strong case against him before making any move.

did you visit his office ? if he is ignoring you, you should take a step go to his office he will talk to you definitely i think its better if you both resolve it by your selves... if still he will not be willing to sort it out then go to Embassy..

Hi Lucky Luciano,

Of course I am aware that there is no divorce in the Philippines but i can file an annulment to make our marriage null and void.

He is not from Goa but from Kerala and a Hindu guy. I am not after him anymore i just want to free myself from our marriage since he not man enough to face the consequences of his decision. Therefore i want to know my chances if ever i will file a case against him.

"I believe our marriage is legally registered in the Philippines".

No Divorce allowed in Philippines

"You think I will have a strong case here since he marries me first then marry indian girl after a year?"

Slim Chance. How do you prove that he got married in India. If he is from Goa or a Muslim, you have no chance under Indian Law as well,

I believe our marriage is legally registered in the Philippines but as I said we didn't go back to the Indian Embassy after our marriage. You think I will have a strong case here since he marries me first then marry indian girl after a year?

Hi Naveen,

I got everything changed from the Philippines after we got married and got our marriage contract I started changing everything. Meaning my last name, passport and even my QID is under his family. I am not under his sponsorship though as I am working in a company.

One more thing i have doubt is that when we go to indian embassy in Philippines they suggested to us to go to Manila City Hall (it is like the municipality office) to apply for marriage since his visit in Philippines was only for few days and those days are not enough to process our marriage. So we did as we told but after that we didnt go back to the embassy since he went back here to Doha. So my question is will they honor our marriage even though it didn't go through the Indian Embassy?

What Naveen and Brite are telling is agreeable. Indian Embassy here in Qatar would be your right destination to raise your concerns. If you marriage was legally registered in India or here at least with the Embassy here, you would have a strong case to defend. Do not despair, keep your calm and perhaps seek some assistance from your colleagues or Indian friends if you have any. Im sure they would be of great help to you.

What ever be it, Good Luck on your endeavor, hope it helps turn in your favor!

You can also visit the Indian Cultural Center (ICC) near Al Khebra Driving Academy in Abu Hamour... A part of the embassy related services are done there too.

Please contact the Indian Embassy for divorce and then get all the info you need.

I am an Indian too. But I feel sad for you, and sincerely hope, you get justice. I suggest you should contact our Embassy, I mean... the Indian Embassy. You should be able to get... at least some info about where to start from. Meanwhile, why don't you contact the Indian Embassy in Philippines. Where did you change the name ?

Also, try to find out his whereabouts like Friends, Families, Relatives through social media like, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.. etc.... and insult him, harass him and make him pay for his nonhuman behavior.

any help you need mail me @ [email protected]

Which part of India is he from ? What is his complete name ? Do you have his passport or QID Copy ? Post or email them to me.

Is it advisable to contact their embassy?

I'm afraid it will not be in any help since we got married in Philippines through civil rights

I would suggest contacting the Indian embassy counsellor services for advice and guidance.
