Advice on new compact SUV
I am planning to buy a new compact SUV (sub-4.5m) and have shortlisted between the top variants for Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage and Toyota Rav4. The prices for the 3 are comparable (although Rav4 is the most expensive of the 3). Although the features are comparable for all 3, the biggest differentiators for me are the safety features (namely blind spot detection and the lane departure warning systems)
- Kia Sportage has both blind spot detection and lane departure warning systems
- Hyundai Tucson has only the blind spot detection system
- Toyota Rav4 has neither
Although I am inclined to buy the Kia Sportage as it is the safest of the three, everyone I know suggests Toyota for the low running cost and resale value. Can anyone give any comments on the operating cost and resale for Kia cars?
Thanks in advance.
Go for Hyundai Tucson or Toyota Rav4. Don't go for the kia it's not reliable enough it's only good for 100k kms or less after that you'll get a lot of headaches as well as low resale value. Hyundai has better features tho easy to find parts and comfy to drive as well as good fuel mileage which is pretty helpful since fuel prices are going up. Toyota rav4 is good for reliability and resale value. It's very easy to find spare parts for Rav4 and it's the most spacious one among the 3 choices and most powerful for it's size and it's the most worth it to run for upto 15-20 years without any problems.
