Suspending Vodafone service & payment

Hello, I'm using Vodafone postpay service for internet in my place. In a few days, I'm gonna be out of Qatar for a month, and do you think it is possible to stop the Vodafone service for a while not to pay during the absent ?

==> They are saying, No it is not. Only way is to close and open the service again when you get here.

* Not only in Qatar, but also in my home country as well.
