Separate sponsorship for husband and wife
By Charlotte Green •
Hello
I’ve been offered a job sponsored by a hospital in doha. I am female. I’ve been told I can sponsor my husband but he therefore cannot Work. But if he does find work, I need to transfer to his sponsorship and therefore lose my benefits and allowances.
Is it possible for a married couple to have their own separate sponsors ?
Thanks in advance
let him come in arrival visa search job he l b in his sponsorship if he s getting above 10k then he can sponsor u after documents getting ready like marriage cert attested house aggrement bank statement
When I asked whether I can have my own sponsorship, they replied saying I would need to speak to higher management, but cannot do this until I have been in Qatar three months!

Thanks everyone. So I can stay sponsored by my hospital but may have to accept reduciton in housing allowance, in which case I may as well transfer to my husbands sponsor as there are benefits such as no exit permits needed...
I am assuming if my husband finds work under 10,000 Rial a month he cannot sponsor me anyway?
Thanks
Most companies require employees to disclose whether their spouse is working or not. This is required because only one of them can avail housing allowances as per their company policy. Such companies take very strict actions, if they find non-compliance to this with both spouses taking housing allowances.
that is correct ... husband and wife can be on different sponsorship and work in qatar.. while a wife can work being under the husbands sponsorship, but the same does not apply to a husband on wife's sponsorship.
couples can be on different sponsorship, its not a problem.U need not transfer any sponsorship by any mean. Just make sure you get your marriage certificate attested
