Highest-ever prices for petrol and diesel announced in Qatar in November

Qatar petroleum (QP) announced that the prices of fuel — both petrol and diesel — will go up in the country in November.

While the prices of the two grades of petrol were increased by five dirhams each per litre, the price of diesel went up by 10 dirhams a litre, reported Gulf Times.

QP said that the price of Super petrol (95-octane) will be QR1.75 a litre in November, as compared to QR1.70 in October. Similarly, the price of Premium Petrol (91-octane) will go up to QR1.65 a litre from QR1.60 in October.

Diesel will be priced at QR1.65, up from QR1.55 a litre a month earlier, reported The Peninsula.

This is the highest-ever price for petrol after the Ministry started pegging the fuel prices to the international market in May, 2016.

When the first list was announced in June 2016, Premium petrol cost QR1.20, Super petrol QR1.30 and diesel QR1.40 per litre.
