Hi Guys! so here is my problem. me and my girlfriend are planning to get married once i come back to the philippines but as we all know 1 month is a short time for that preparation so i think its better to have our honeymoon here in Qatar. i am planning to bring her here for maybe 3 months or 1 month (depends on advises here either if i will get her a tourist visa or business visa). is there anyone have done this process? if so please advise us what to do to proceed without any problems from the immigration in the philippines. any advise or comments would be highly appreciated.

thank you.

@musicman hi kabayan! going to Singapore is also fine right? because as per my friends, immigration nowadays are strict when going to Hongkong. they got offloaded because they don't have pocket money to show. you think Singapore would be the same or not? Family visit visa would be an option but the problem is marriage contract from NSO will only be released after 6 months. i think marriage certificate from our municipality is not enough to show in our immigration. thank you for your advise kabayan. :)

@bernzkilot.. hi i am kabayan and i would like to give advice.. if you go for business visa, yes there would be a problem with our immigration, they are quite strict with business visa to qatar.. the best way and this is based on my personal experience, you let her go to a country in that will allow visa on arrival for filipinos, in my case i went to hongkong, then from there she will travel to qatar, Hongkong immigration will not scrutinize the qatar business visa. Another option is go for family visit visa which is good for 6 months, check the facebook page "Filipino Family Visit Visa" they assist for getting family visit visa.

Be happy always! A piece of advice from someone who has been married for quite some time now: After you are married and settled, don't look around! Your wife should be the focus of all your attention. Otherwise...!

While I do not think so, this is a question that could be answered properly by a Kabayan with some experience in such matters or your embassy. I am not a Kabayan!

@molten metal

yeah i thought of that. we have plan for her to find job in here and stay with me since we dont have plan to have a kid yet. were planning to save money for awhile for our future kids. you think there will be no problem at our immigration in the Philippines if i get her a Business Visa?

Hi @acchabaccha!

thank you for your reply. im planning to get her a business visa that is good for 3 months and we are also planning for her to find a job in here. do you think there will be a problem with our immigration with that? we are not planning to have kids yet. we have other priorities for now. thanks for your advice! it is very much appreciated. :)

By the way "Philippines" is written with a capital letter just like the names of all other countries!

Good idea! Yes, just a month with your new wife is definitely insufficient and sure you should get her here to continue with the "enjoyment" of life. These would be your golden days and why should you allow them to pass away sacrificing them for the Riyal. Then with her being in Doha, you will be able to no doubt concentrate on your job, and on your driving.

Since Qatar has now made the process very easy for people to come here, I suggest you bring her on a return ticket allowing her to get a visa at the airport. You may be well aware by now that the visa is a for an initial period of 30 days which can be extended by another 30 days. Going for a business visa or a tourist visa may cost you much and do not look to be attractive propositions compared to the current facility of getting a visa on arrival.

Guess you may rethink your plans now and you have all my best wishes on beginning a new chapter in your life.
