The former Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Nice playmaker will arrive in Doha on Sunday to formalise the deal, Al Gharafa said, according to The Peninsula.
The Netherlands international confirmed he was leaving Nice after a short spell with the French Ligue 1 club, according to Four Four Two.
Sneijder, who joined Nice in August after being released from his Galatasaray contract, has started only four league games this season.
The Qatar Stars League will be the next stop for the 33-year-old Dutchman.
“It’s a nice adventure and a fun challenge. I’m really happy to go for it together with my family,” Sneijder was quoted as saying by goal.com.
Sneijder is the most-capped player in Netherlands history and has won the Champions League as well as domestic titles in Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Turkey over a glittering career.
The seven-time champions of Qatar will hope Snejider can bring in a fresh group of fans and allow the Dutchman enough time on the pitch to find some form, wrote the Daily Mail.
He will join ex-Chile international Luis Jimenez and Slovakia's Wladimir Weiss as the most recognisable players at the club.
