Hi Rajeev,

I've been through this situation and now i'm in the process (i mean in the stage of processing RP for my baby)

I gave birth in Hamad, follow the steps below to get RP (this is base on my experienced)

1. Take birth certificate from Hamad (in born in Hamad). The requirments are:

*photocopy of passport and QID only (both parents)

*note: take 3copies of birth certificate, you need it for application for passport, vaccination & for RP

2. apply passport for your child, I don't know the other requirements your embassy required to apply passport (I'm Kabayan)

3. application for RP - the below are the exact documents required in MOI

*note: if you are under husband sponsor, it's very easy, copy of you husband's passport, QID and child's birth certificate, thats it!

*but if you're not under husband's sponsor, you have to provide the below documents.

1. Application for Family entry visa (typed - original) - basically, when you request NOC to your company, application is attached.

2. NOC letter from company (original)

3. contract of both parents (copy) attested by ministry of labor

4. educational attainment of both parents (copy) attested by your embassy and MoFA

5. bank statement of both parents reflecting 6monts salary (single page - original)

7. marriage certificate attested by embassy and MoFA (copy)

8. house contract (copy)

9. passport and QID of sponsor

10. passport or travel documents of child

11. no objection letter for sponsorship of child under wife from husband

12. salary letter of husband

then apply to MOi garaffa

hope this instruction will help you

At this moment, my application for my baby is approved and ready to print.

Hi

My baby was born here in Qatar and i heard that i need to obtain her passport within three months from the date of birth in order to avoid paying penalties. How much will the penalties be? some say QR10 per day and others say QR200 per day. It will take at least 6 months to receive a newborn passport from our embassy.

i think they are requiring for house contract that should be under the name of sponsor, but the question is what if the contract is not under the name of (mother/father) is there any other option?

Hello,

1. Child will be under sponsor of?

Answer: Mother

But only Visit Visa only

Father or Mother who is eligible for Permanent sponsorship must apply for Permanent Visa of Child.

2. Documents required for the process?

Answer:

Documents needed for the Birth certificate are passport copies of parents, id (RP) copies of parents and marriage certificate. Take original documents if possible as they might ask for it for verification.

3. how to go about it?

Below are the steps for a baby born in Qatar.

1) Go to Hamad Women's hospital outpatient department's 3rd floor to apply for the baby's birth certificate.

2) There is a small form to fill which is available at the spot. Documents needed for the Birth certificate are passport copies of parents, id (RP) copies of parents and attested marriage certificate. Take original documents if possible as most of them were asked for it.

3) Make sure you fill all details properly. The name you give in the application form will be used in the Birth certificate which will be later used in the passport.

4) If the baby is born in Hamad, take the 2 cards given by them (given to you after the baby is born). one is a vaccination card which is yellow / green in color. Im not sure about the other card.

5) If you baby is not born at Hamad, you will need to bring the information from the hospital where he/she was born.

6) If your wife is under husband sponsorship OR if both husband and wife are under same company sponsorship, They will accept the form. Pay QR 20 for each certificate (Its an original one). You can choose either Arabic / English Version. Most people take 2 copies of the certificate.

7) If the husband and wife are working for different sponsors, the application will be accepted and you will be asked to collect the birth certificate from the CID. The CID is located on Abu Samra road.

8) Proceed to your Embassy and apply for a passport.

9) Once you get the passport, proceed to immigration office for the visa. You can go to Gharaffa, Madinat Khalifa or Meseimeer for RP (these are the only 3 i know of).

10) Documents needed are: Mother and Father Passport copies, ID copies (or RP copies), copy of birth certificate, copy of marriage certificate and Photographs (Keep a couple of them). Take the originals of documents along as well as they might ask for it. There is an application form to be filled aswell.

11) Give the documents to the officer.

Thank You
