Fantastic food at Lincontro

Last month I visited Café DeLord, a restaurant located inside Al Ghanem Business Center (Burger Tower) – next to Westin Hotel at Ramada signal. In that same building, I saw there was another restaurant called Lincontro. Since the food at Café Delord was so fantastic I decided to visit Lincontro. Thankfully I wasn’t wrong in my choice.

The décor of the restaurant is simple, but cozy, accentuated by a rustic homey environment. The mission of the restaurant is to satisfy the palate of the costumers while having a simple but unique experience. They manage to do that quite well. The ambience of the place is chilled and relaxed while the food is terrific. The service could improve as it is sometimes slow, but other than that the experience is great.

I savored a few dishes during my visit. I started with a Burrata salad. If you like cheese with your greens then this starter is perfect. The rich burrata cheese, served with quinoa parsley salad in a parmesan basket drizzled with balsamic glaze is seriously good. Another starter that I would recommend is the Insalata Caprese.

The freshly sliced Buffalo Mozzarella, tomatoes, pesto and basil salad is very refreshing. The Octopus salad toss with steamed potatoes, tomato, capers and black olives in Italian dressing is another starter I recommend trying.

Regarding the main courses their beef tenderloin is sensational. The grilled US Black Angus tenderloin served with an herb crusted potato pie and pink pepper sauce is hard to beat.

If you like pizza then you must try their pizza white sauce with truffle and chicken. The combination of flavors, the chicken and truffle is to die for. It is one of the best pizzas I have had in years. If you are into seafood, the Salmon Steak with saffron risotto will delight your palate. It is perfectly cooked and juicy.

To end a perfect meal sink your teeth into the apple strudel or the sizzling chocolate brownie with vanilla ice-cream.

It is unfortunate that the location of this restaurant is not more prominent as many people do not know inside the building one can find amazing restaurants that serve exceptionally good food.
