Obtaining Family Visa
Currently , me and my son are residing here in Qatar in On-Arrival visa.My husband just got his RP done. I have few questions regarding the family RP.
1. Is it possible for us to apply for an RP while in On arrival visa ?
2.Can my husband directly apply for our RP while we are residing in the country ?
3.If we come in Visit visa, under my husband's sponsorship, can we convert the same to RP without exiting the country?
4. On what circumstances exiting country is mandatory ?
Kindly let me know these details. .
So kind of you for the details.
Thank you Mr. Hassan. That was indeed quite helpful.
I will not write the step by step guide but will list requirements for you to check if you are missing anything.
RP request Form (any typist can give)
NOC from employer
QID and passport copies (Husband)
Passport copies (Wife and child)
Birth certificate attested (Child)
Marriage certificate attested (May need translation)
Labour contract
Bank statement (Single page mentioning 6-month salary, banks know it)
Education certificate attested (May need translation)
House contract ( I didn't give, but seems I got lucky)
Your question's answer
1) Ask your HR to give you NOC and tell them you are an on-arrival visa. If they give it to you then that's it and apply for RP.
It is some rule that if wife on visit visa then NOC should say it, and if outside Qatar then NOC should say that, never heard anything about on-arrival but try with HR.
2) YES
3) YES ( once you get approval from immigration, they actually issue visit visa and then you ask them to convert it to RP by giving 500 riyals for each visa) or you exit the country and come back on the same visa if you wish not to pay 500 riyals.
4) Only if your visit visa expires and the RP is still not issued. As you will be getting fine per day, and it will cost you, but no one will throw you out of the country.
If all requirements are fine, you will get RP in less than a week. mine got out in 2-3 days.
