Mercedes and BMW maintenance costs

Hey guys,

I just moved to Qatar and I wanted to buy a used big sedan (Mercedes S, CLS or BMW 7), but I have been told that the maintenance costs in Doha are ridiclously expenisive (of course the maintenance for these cars is expensive, but from what I have heard here it is just beyond the limit). Could anyone tell me the regular servicing costs here for such cars (after each 10000km and 70000km).

If the vehicle is slightly used and still has the warranty and service package - then it should be ok.

If not - then be prepared to spend lots of money. My friend was told QAR 5000 for oil change in an X5. So estimate QAR 7000 for simple maintenance and almost double for the major intervals. The real costs comes with repair/replacement of failed components.
