Oppo's latest smartphone F7 launched in Qatar
Oppo has launched in Doha its latest smartphone, the F7, which has a front camera powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), to ensure ‘perfect selfies’.
“Oppo F7 is the first smartphone equipped with a 25MP selfie camera and the first to use the Sony 576 Sensor with a HDR (High Dynamic Range) function in hardware (Sensor HDR),” said Richard Rabiz, product expert at Oppo GCC.
Even in backlit condition, the person and the background will look clear and detailed. The AI Beauty 2.0 Technology scans 296 facial recognition points, including arm and neck based on a person’s age, gender, skin colour and skin type.
“The F7 is 20% improvement from its predecessor F5 allowing for a more precise and accurate facial recognition capability. In addition, F7’s AI Beauty 2.0 now has 8mn beautification solutions from global users compared to only 2mn in the F5,” he explained.
Oppo F7 has a 3,400mAh power cell and according to simulated tests in the lab, facilitating uninterrupted music playback for more than 33.5 hours, watching videos for 13.4 hours and playing games for 8.3 hours. Besides long battery endurance, F7 also utilises a smart AI battery management system that prevents unnecessary drainage.
The F7 comes with a brand-new ColorOS 5.0, based on the Android 8.1 and has AI inbuilt into it.
Nabil Mourad, COO, FMCG, Ali Bin Ali Group, the local distributor of Oppo, pointed out that since the last six months the brand, which has been leading in many parts of the world, is doing great in the Qatari market.
Moffat Zhou, Oppo Qatar general manager, stressed that Oppo has established itself as a top brand in Qatar.
There is also strong after-sale customer service.
Mohamed Imran, general manager, Oppo Qatar distribution, said the F7 is priced at QR1,249 for the version with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. The 128GB edition is priced at QR1,599.
