CROSSED RED LIGHT BUT REVERSED. WILL I BE FINED?
Hi all,
Today morning as I was off to work, I was at the corniche road near the intersection at commercial bank, and I accidentaly ran over a red light. Upon crossing the line, I realised it is red light, and stopped my car and reversed. Could not fully get back as they were cars behind me, but I reversed and stayed till the signal became green again and moved. Will I be fined for it with the points? I am living an absolute nightmare in worry since then. It was unintentional and so grateful that no harm was done during the scene.

I ended up with a similar mistake today. I stopped at the red light behind stop line. After 20 seconds, my leg slipped and pushed the accelerator where my car moved past the pedestrian crossing. I immediately reversed and went behind the stop line as there was none behind me. There was a flash camera behind me but I couldn't notice the flash as it was a bright noon. Can you tell me about your experience? Did you get fined in your case? Were you lucky in any way?

The max time duration for the fine to come online is 3 working days. So in that time if u don't see anything online u safe.

I still have not received an SMS Indicating any violation. How long do you think it takes for the sms? I keep checking in the moi website. Nothing there too as yet. Hoping, praying and wishing I am not fined :(
I have actually heard if you don't cross and if you reverse as u did it's only Qr 500. Points m not aware of. But then again since its ramadan you better visit the nearest muroor God forbid u get a fine.

If there was no indication of camera flashes at that moment, then you're lucky. You need not fear
