ECR passport problem during the travel to Qatar from India

Hi everyone!

I want to know that does ECR passport from India is banned in Qatar?

We got Visit visa for my mother for 1 month and she is a ECR passport holder from India

Is it a problem in immigration for ECR passport holders?

Kindly help we want to book air ticket by tomorrow .

Hello,

There is a new regulation on the passengers from India who is travelling to Qatar with the "free on-arrival tourist visa". Some of the airports in India (not all, Hyderabad started first) is not allowing the ECR passport holders to travel to Qatar without a paper visa.

Since your mother has a valid issued visa, it wont be a problem. However, it would be better to talk to the Airline or Immigration office in India and they can provide you clear information.

Attach iqama copy and passport copy of relative residing in Qatar with tickets to show at immigration counter in India in case of ECR Passport. No Any Problem in At Qatar Airport

Vidhya, Please do not worry at all, Qatar has nothing to do with ECR, ECR is concerned with INDIA only. That's an Indian option, now it has no value at all. ........ It was stopped some years ago. You just forget it ..............
