Qatar Press Centre says it is concerned over fate of missing Saudi journalist
The disappearance of Saudi Arabian journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Embassy in Turkey is a hot topic of discussion around the world.
While Turkish authorities say they have ‘proof’ about the journalist’s killing inside the Embassy, Saudi Arabia has flatly denied the allegations.
Whatever be the case, the world has been closely following the progress of the missing journalist’s case.
The Qatar Press Centre said it was deeply concerned over the disappearance of Khashoggi in Istanbul and the allegation of having been brutally killed there, reported Gulf Times.

In a statement, the centre said it was “following with great concern the developments regarding the suspicious disappearance of Khashoggi since the first day and the controversy and ambiguity that made his case widely followed by the world at large.”
The QPC urged different organisations working for human rights and freedom of expression to take strong positions on the issue. It also called for honest and independent investigations to reveal the truth behind the disappearance and expose those involved without any political calculations, according to The Peninsula.
The QPC said it would continue to follow up on all developments related to the disappearance until the situation was resolved.
“We’re following with great concern the fate of colleague Khashoggi in the hope of revealing the truth to the world without any ambiguity. We denounce any attempt to conceal and waste time to distort facts in the case before presenting it to the world,” QPC said in the statement, according to Qatar Tribune.
