The artist behind Tamim Al Majd portrait
It started out as a post on social media, then went to becoming on car bumper stickers, Ahmed Al-Maadheed is the artist behind Tamim Al Majd artwork. Buildings of all heights have this unique artwork stuck on them.
It all started when one December, Al-Maadheed was getting ready for Qatar National Day which takes place on the 18th. Being an artist that he is, he gets creative with his work from current events or whatever inspires him at the moment. He posted a video on Instagram of himself painting the portrait of what we now know as "Tamim Al Majd".
When he painted it on his car, it was merely for celebrating Qatar National Day, but when the Blockade striked on June 5th, he painted the same portrait that is on his car, but on a canvas and posted it on Instagram to show his support during the shocking news of the Blockade.

His post was intended on showing loyalty and support to H.H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, but the portrait was not captioned as "Tamim the Glorious", that caption came from the people.
According to Al-Maadheed, his post was shared and went viral under that name and he found out about it a week later.
Canvases all over Qatar were posted where people had the opportunity to show their love, loyalty and support to Qatar and His Highness the Amir by writing sweet messages, taking pictures and posting them on social media. Al-Maadheed said that nobody told anybody to go show their support, but that love came from the people on their own.

The portrait went beyond canvases and bumper stickers, people are very creative with showing this beautiful artwork. T-shirts, phone covers, and cafés even use that portrait on coffee foam. It is way more than an art piece, it is the light and face of defying the Blockade and showing the true strength of Qatar and what its capable of accomplishing.
As of today, November 18th, we have one more month until Qatar National Day, let's see what other creative art Al-Maadheed will come up with as well as from the people of Qatar.

Very interesting indeed ...............................
The annoying thing is that I can't find the car stickers anywhere now... They made me remove them all from the car during registration renewal and now the shops aren't selling or installing them, saying that they aren't allowed to do so anymore. Hope I'll find then somewhere before national day, to go with the other decorations on the car...
its MAJD not MAJED
Ahmed Al-Maadheed';s Full name is
"AHMED BIN MAJED ALMAADEED"
It is a simple guess how the word "Majed" got associated with Tamim's name.
Tamim name (in Bold) ...and on the side Artist name (not in Bold)..
Even the artist's facebook account is @ahmedbinmajedwork
But Sheikh Tamim is wonderful , and we all love him
