I was tried to apply family visit visa for my mother through metrash 2 . After entering the Gender, there is a column for relationship which is not having the option to select“Mother“. Hence I could not apply visa for mother.

Whereas visa received for father...

Did anybody faced similar issue while applying mother visa...?

You have to keep the sim card operational. You will be getting messages from MOI on that sim card. I think they also send you login code everytime you try to login to metrash.

Apart from that, MOI will send you traffic violations, announcements and other important notices that you will need regularly in Qatar.

If I get another SIM just for Metrash, will I need to maintain that number continuously for whenever I want to use Metrash? Or once I'm registered I can just switch to other number and throw the 3rd sim card?

For metrash you need to have a sim in your name. No other solution. MOI are not going to reply you.

If you are going to be THAT miserly, then there is no solution to your problem.

Thanks - I didnt want to buy a new sim ideally, I have a company supplied prepaid (for personal) and company supplied postpaid (business). I've emailed MOI so will see if they confirm otherwise yes, might have to buy a sim just for metrash,

Just buy a new sim card against your ID and then try with your phone number. It's as simple as that!
