A new ‘linear park’ has opened in Al Hilal, giving people another avenue to exercise
Qatar has always given immense importance to ensuring that its citizens remain healthy at all times.
In the last few years, green areas in the country have gone up significantly, and it continues to develop with each passing day.
Just the other day, Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality and Environment’s (MME) Public Parks Department announced that it had completed work on a ‘linear park’ in the Al Hilal area, near The Mall and Qatar Charity headquarters, reported Gulf Times.

The park, which has been constructed in co-operation with Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal), is 1.5km long with 50M wide. It has a total space of 75,000SqM, reported The Peninsula.
Based on the recommendations of Municipal Council member Sheikha AlJufairi, the Old Airport area is now surrounded by lush greenery and exercise walkways. The concept of ‘linear parks’ is new and it looks to utilise spaces on the sides of streets and highways and turn them into green spaces that give citizens and residents an opportunity to exercise sports.
Amazing experience.
My favourite already, the best feeling , ever ....... Super ...............
