The ten-day sporting spectacular will see 2,000 athletes arrive at the Khalifa International Stadium to compete for gold, whilst the world’s first ever Midnight Marathon will take place along the Corniche, set against the lights of the mesmerizing Doha skyline.

Spectators will enjoy a whole host of entertainment on a daily basis between Friday 27 September - Sunday 6 October, with a Global Athletics Village bringing worldwide cultures to life through entertainment and cuisine, as athletes from 213 different countries will take part in the competition.
Every evening will see new world champions created with finals taking place every day in events such as the highly anticipated 100m and 200m sprints, through to the shows of the sheer strength of competitors in the hammer throw and shot put.
