How to look after your skin this summer
During summer your skin works hard to keep itself healthy.
With the rise in temperature these days, heat and humidity can make your skin look dull. You need to make sure that your skin is protected from the sun all season long!
A few simple changes in your everyday skincare routine can keep your skin rejuvenated.
Here are some tips to help you care for your skin during the hot weather:
1. Do not forget your sunscreen
This is a must-have item in your dressing table or bag. You must apply sunscreen on your face and any other exposed parts of your body before heading out to avoid sunburn, wrinkles, and premature aging. Try to apply it every few hours and try to avoid the midday sun from mid-morning to late afternoon whenever you can.
2. Exfoliate daily for cleaner and smoother skin
It is very important to clear all the dirt from the skin. Exfoliation helps in removing dead skin cells and leaving your skin looking radiant.
3. Make water your best friend
Drink more water than usual because you’ll tend to sweat more as your body tries to cool down in the summer heat. Water also supplies you with many minerals your body needs to function at its best, so take a water bottle with you whenever you go out. This will keep your skin hydrated and flush out toxins from your body.
4. Go easy on the makeup
Avoid heavy makeup during summer. Always keep in mind that your skin needs to breathe in this super-hot and humid weather. Don’t forget the lips, it’s better to go for a lip balm with SPF instead of lipsticks.
5. Take care of the eye area
The eye area is very delicate than the rest of the face. It is very important to wear sunglasses whenever you step out in the sun. You can also use suitable eye creams. Cucumbers can be very useful for this purpose. You can massage a slice of cucumber around the eye area to relax the muscles every night.
