This post is for those who own a gulf license and willing get a Qatari driving license, note that You can’t drive with Dubai license if you are on residential visa, you can drive up to 3 months if you are on a visit visa.

These are the things you have to do if you are trying to get the Qatari license
1. Get your Qatar ID as soon as possible
2. Get a mobile SIM card on your name, this will enable you to register with Metrash2 ( An app from Ministry of interior (MOI)
3. Your company has to provide “No objection Certificate” online via their access on Metrash2
4. Go to any learning center and take the eye test, this will cost you 50 Riyals.
5. You can register for signal class and test on the same day, this will cost you 500 for class and 50 riyals for traffic department.
6. Once you pass the computer signal test, the traffic Department will give book the final road test for you, normally this will be very longer time (I got two months time).
7. As long as you are done ✅ with all above, use your Metrash2 application to book a new date for the test, but check across all the centers for nearby available schedule, you can book it within 1-2 weeks time.

8. Once you got the schedule, Now prepare for the final road test. Below are the points to consider

A. Show that you an experienced driver, Do not show that you are a new driver and learning to drive (The examiner will understand it from your driving style)

B. Seat belt, Signaling, Mirror Checks, Blind spot checks are mandotory (Never forget)

C. Lane changing is very important. Know the rule

D. U-turn in the roundabout - Know the rule

E. Never wait for inistruction from examiner, You drive as you are a DRIVER.

Good Luck.

Signal test can be passed very easily, There is a mobile app you will get the access as soon as you register with driving school. you can practice with multiple choice questions and get 100% pass before you attend the final test.

Good luck
