Katara introduces paid entry to its beaches
Thinking of heading out to Katara's beaches as they have been reopened?
Entrance to the beaches at Katara will now be through paid tickets, Katara announced on its social media channels earlier this week.
The paid entry rule went into effect yesterday, July 4.
According to the announcement, ticket prices will vary between different ages.
Ticket prices are as follows:
For ages 18 years and above - QR 50
From 7 to 18 years - QR 25
Less than 7 years: free entry

Dear visitors, starting Saturday 4th July 2020, entrance to Katara Beach will be through paid tickets according to the age groups below:
18 years and above
Ticket price is Qr. 50
From 7 to 18 years
Ticket price is Qr. 25

Katara reopened its beaches 3, 4, and 5 on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, as Qatar entered phase 2 of the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions with preventive and precautionary measures in place.
The beaches will remain open from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and swimming is only allowed in designated areas of beaches 3 and 4 until sunset.
Jet Ski ports have also been opened again since July 1, 2020, as well. Timings are from 3:00 pm until sunset.
Several safety measures have been implemented to ensure a safe experience for all.
Earlier, during Phase 1, Katara Hills Promenade (North and South) had been reopened for sporting activities.
