Qatar’s largest theme park to open for special previews this week

In some exciting news for adventure enthusiasts in Qatar, Salwa Beach Resort is set to offer special previews of the Desert Falls Water and Adventure Park this week.

One of the largest theme parks in the Middle East, Desert Falls will offer thrilling sneak peeks to families and individuals in Qatar from Wednesday, December 30.

Featuring over 18 attractions and 56 rides and slides, including the water park’s signature ride ‘The King Cobra,’ Desert Falls will allow thrill-seekers to immerse in a world of unlimited excitement and fun.

Visitors with special preview tickets will be among the first to explore selected rides and attractions at Qatar’s largest theme park.

The rides that will be initially open include: the Kids Ship Pool, the Whizzard Mat Racer, inner tube slides, Dahab Mountain, Surfing Dunes, Family Abyss, Falls Pool and the Wave Pool. There will also be an in-house laser tag adventure available at an extra charge.

Tickets for the special preview are priced at QR 150 and QR 100 for visitors under 1.2 meters in height.

The tickets will be sold for a limited time and will be available at a kiosk in Doha’s Hotel Park, next to the Corniche.

Timings for ticket purchase are between 1 pm and 8 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 8 pm on weekends. 

Tickets will be sold from December 27, 2020, and will be valid for admissions starting December 30 onwards.

Managing Director of Salwa Beach Resort, Jan Moenkedieck commented, “We can’t wait for guests to visit Desert Falls and experience the completely water and adventure world that we have created.”

Desert Falls will open its doors for special previews from 10 am to 6 pm daily, starting Wednesday.

Earlier this year, His Highness the Amir inspected Salwa Beach Resort, Qatar's new major leisure destination, as it opened partially.

The magnificent resort sprawls across 3.5 km of picturesque private beaches. and includes a wide array of facilities including 115 villas and chalets, a 246-room five-star hotel, aquatic theme park, conference center, ballroom, spa, yacht club, and marina, diving center, and a shopping center.
