KARACHI - Maliha Arif, has clinched the top position in the world in Additional Mathematics in 'O' level examination under Cambridge International Examination (CIE).
An announcement of the institution here on Saturday said that the student Maliha Arif has achieved this distinction in June 2009 Cambridge examination session where students from across the world participated with best of their preparations.
The Principal of Dawood Public School, Viqar Afza, said "We are really proud of our student Maliha Arif for having achieved the top position in the world in Additional Mathematics despite the fact that our students were facing a global competition and to achieve the highest marks in such stiff competition globally is truly commendable and a matter of pride for whole nation".
Maliha Arif said that she is grateful to Almighty Allah, her parents, teachers and her school for providing with the chance to learn and prove my abilities.
She also stated that she believes in hard work and wants to serve the country with best of her ability. The Chief Executive of the School, Ms. Sabrina Dawood, said that she is very proud of the performance on the part of Maliha Arif. She hoped that in future also Maliha Arif would continue to perform in the same fashion and that other students of the school would follow suit.
University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world's largest provider of international qualifications for 14-19 year olds, providing a broad range of qualifications, created for an international student body.
CIE offers the Cambridge International Curriculum for 5-19 year olds and professional qualifications for teachers, it was further stated.
