We Pakistanis feel indebted to the Humanitarian organizations from Qatar for their noble humanitarian services for the people suffering from natural & human created catastrophies in Pakistan like of severe earthquake in October 2005 and recent displacement of millions because of US War on " Terror ".

A new humanitarian organization AlThani Bin Abdallah Foundation started its activities in Ramadan from arranging Dars-e-Quran with Iftar/Dinner for major expatriate communities serving in State of Qatar. Among these communities are Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Srilanka, Nepal and Philippines. Different dates and venues are kept for different communities. Arabi Sports Club and Khalifa Tennis Courts are the main venues.

In this regard, Thursday 3rd of September was fixed for Pakistani Expatriate community at the Arabi Sports Club. Renowned author and Social Worker Ashraf Siddiqui, who is Official Coordinator between local departments and the Pakistani community as selected & nominated by Qatar Government also coordinated this event. Descon Engineering, AlKhayarin Contracting, AlSaif Contracting, Redco Group, Pearl NLC played major role in mobilizing around two thousand workers and office staff to make the event successful.

Community leaders from Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh also attended the event. Among participants were Dr. Musid AlNajjar and Akeel Ibrahim from Sheikh Thani Foundation, Fahd Al-Abdullah and Faisal Huddawi from Interior Ministry, from Pakistani community leaders Sher Ali of Halqa Ahbab, Saleem Kapoorwala of Professional Toastmasters, Tahir Jamil of Pakistan Engineering Forum, Rasheed Niaz of Pakistan Cultural Forum and Liaqat Mallick of Pakistan Writers Council were also present.
