Haqeeqat yehii hai miree zaat ki
hamesha vafaaoN ki bohtaat ki

sazaa paa rahaa hoon isi baat ki
tamanna tiree maine din raat ki

zaroorat nahin hai tiree naama.bar
khabar hai unheN mere Haalaat ki

sabaa le ke aayee hai mere liye
jo boo-e-Hinaa hai tire haat ki

bichaRne bichaRne ke mausam gaye
havaa ab chalee hai mulaaqaat ki

chaman meiN koii ghar salaamat nahiN
falak tu ne kaisi ye barsaat ki?

mukhatib tha kal andaleeboN se maiN
"zabaaN sab samajhte haiN jazbaat ki"

saHar tere jalve haiN sab per ayaaN
azal se hai dushman tu zulmaat ki
