Traffic fine for crossing red light

I had encountered a traffic fine of qr 6000 for crossing red signal recently by error.

Is there any possibility of getting this fine relaxed to some extent since its a huge amount..

Is there any possibility if i go to the traffic department and request to the captain?

In Galinda's scenario if the child of any of the people, suggesting how to get the fine reduced, was actually involved what would be there reaction? Would they ask for his/her head or again be sympathetic with their white heart's intact to get the punishment reduced drastically? Thoughts!!

Galinda: How awful for you. I'm sure the phone call was a necessity. Please go and speak to the captain and explain your predicament. I'm sure he will be sympathetic. You can use him the next time also. Good Luck!

I was driving my car and when I reached to answer a phone call I ran over a 3 year old playing in the street. And I was also a bit drunk. Not very drunk, maybe just 3 wines.

I know this was my mistake but I didn't mean to kill her. It was just a tiny error and I promise I won't kill anyone else.

Please advise how I can have the court case against me cancelled because I'm too pretty to go to jail. Besides, punishment for my actions sounds really inconvenient because I have brunch plans on Friday.

Make a request to the captain. Possibly he may reduce the fine but be careful in future. Just overlook the comments by some people who have no feelings for the pain of others.

Go to the Captain , I suggest at the evening shift , When there is less rush and do not try to explain , Just admit mistake and request them to minimize the fine , Drive carefully any one error it may have cost the life .

Traffic fines are in place to serve as punishment for careless drivers.

If the police waived or reduced the fines then that would defeat the entire purpose of the system.
